My view on leadership...

My view on leadership hasn't changed at all but my knowledge of what it takes to be a successful leader has grown, you cant necessarily learn how to be a leader by a book, it takes more than that but being to see how well known leaders became acknowledged for doing what they did is very useful in being made into a leader.

My experience as a leader...

I'm pretty serious about my grades, and being the captain of a football team in California I had to get a group of guys to be the same. My job as a leader, as a captain was to get my brothers to pull up their grades because a couple of guys were ineligible, and that's no way to win football games when you're best guys can't play because of their grades. I had to be more authoritative, being passive they wouldn't listen so this meant mandatory library sessions or we ran or they could practice, and if they couldn't practice they couldn't play. In the end the time we spent helped us as a team and got they guys who were ineligible back on track to play.

Are leaders born or are leaders made?

My response, leaders are definetly made, also born but a born leader is like born athelete, if they don't work at what they do and stand out they are amongst the rest, just normal athletes. Leaders have to do the same, if leaders don't watch and learn, make solid decisions then they aren't even given the normal leader title, they're just a normal person because leaders arent seen to be normal people like a average athelete is seen to me normal. The story of Micheal Jordan is the best, being cut from his highschool team to being the greatest LEADER, not just player, of all time... that wasn't something he was born with he worked to get where he wanted to be as a leader and a player.

Questions for a leader.....

If given the opportunity to interview someone I think is a powerful leader, these are the questions I would ask:

1. What are essential traits in being a successful leader?

2. How do you take on each day?

3. How do you prepare/take on challenges?

4. What is your most memorable moment as a leader?

5. How would you adress one who wants to follow a path similar to yours?

If given the chance I would definetly interview Lebron James but since he hasnt been answering my calls lately I have chosen to interview my uncle Miquel Lewis.
